ABOUT K.F.
The Kalcium Fortified ‘bones’ are informed by an imaginary natural world. They are a series of whimsical fragments and also, as a complete project started in Brooklyn during the pandemic. It was a return to the visual art process after an extensive 15 year career in the performing arts. Kalcium Fortified speaks to the cheeky mischief of the street artist, who decorates the rugged city landscape with playful forms that fuse creative anatomy with imagination. Just as physical bones bond the internal architecture of the human body, the “whimsical bones” of K.F. celebrate the enduring resilience of guerrilla art to inspire, maintain and surprise in public spaces.
The works of K.F. have been presented in a variety of mediums including graphite, acrylic, screen print, wheat paste, digital projection, adhesive, and magnetic.
